Can the best Mexican restaurant in Atlanta be in Tucker? We lunch here a lot with our cycling gang, and after a 41-mile bicycle ride, we always enjoy the food.
Los Hermanos is located in a strip shopping center that also houses the local Publix.
The dining room is bisected by the kitchen area, which makes it hard to photograph the entire restaurant. Double the size of this photo to get an idea of the seating capacity.
Table for sixteen? No problema! Los Hermanos can handle a crowd. Warm, salty chips (a never-ending supply with this group) and drinks are on the table almost immediately.
Eve orders two soft tacos. On the left is the veggie taco and the one on the right is a deconstructed fish taco. She got the peppers and sauce on the side. This is a lot of food. The veggie taco is surprisingly hearty and I get to finish it.
Here’s the dish that keeps us coming back, the California quesadilla. Chicken breast, spinach, mushrooms, tomatoes and cheese in a flour tortilla. It’s fantastic and is ordered by one-fourth of our group. It’s big and runny and you can barely pick it up. Even though I am hungry, I can’t finish it.
Good reporter that I am, I take pictures of what our fellow diners are having.
The vegetable enchiladas are stuffed with spinach, mushrooms, zucchini, carrots, celery and onions.
Here’s another huge taco. The cesina features steak in a green avocado sauce. I wanted to snatch one of those avocado chunks.
One more picture so you can get a sense of what’s on the menu. The pechuga de pollo comes with chicken, zucchini, onions and tomatoes. Everything on this plate looks so fresh.
Muy delicioso! They had no problem getting our large group in and out of there in about an hour. Los Hermanos is fresh, reasonably priced and the portions are huge. Is this the best Mexican in Atlanta? We would hard-pressed to recommend a better choice. If your travels take you to Tucker, go visit Los Hermanos.
